The Phonology of the Dialect of Fillongley in the County of Warwickshire
Description
A study of the dialect spoken in Fillongley in Warwickshire. An introduction to the village and area is followed by a descriptive account of the sounds of the living dialect, and a chapter on the development of Middle English sounds in the dialect (vowels of stressed syllables). An Appendix contains a labelled pencil drawing of a five-bar gate. A Word List is also included.
