A Study of Graffiti
Description
A study of the graffiti collected from the men's and women's toilets in the University of Leeds Students Union (and seven examples from a company manufacturing printing plates in Leeds). The collection is divided into thirty-four subject categories, with each transcription retaining the original spelling and form, and indicating from where the graffiti was collected. This collection is preceded by chapters on graffiti and folklore, a necessarily fragmentary history of graffiti, the functions of graffiti and a consideration and comparison of men's and women's graffiti.
