The Media and the Traditions of Modern Children

Description

An examination of Middle School children and their traditions, and the effect their exposure to modern mass media has on such traditions. The study is based on written responses to the collector's questionnaire, given to children attending Royal Park Middle School and Blenheim Middle School in Leeds. The questionnaire contained ten questions, with the focus on playground games, watching television and listening to the radio. The study provides an overview of the responses to each question, gathered from forty-eight completed questionnaires. The ten sections include descriptive and statistical information, with some clapping and dipping rhyme examples.
