A Descriptive Account of the Dialect of Hartlepool
Description
A study of the dialect spoken in Hartlepool, based on data collected through fieldwork interviews with two local informants. An introduction to the town and the informants is followed by a descriptive account of the sounds of the Hartlepool dialect, recorded in 198[3], with sections on stressed vowels, unstressed vowels and consonants. A Word List is also included.
