Description
An investigation of the folk remedies known by people living on the Wirral peninsula on Merseyside (not all of whom were born and brought up in the area). The Introduction describes the place of traditional remedies in modern society, with further sections on preventive measures, skin complaints (including cure recipes), general aches and pains, coughs, colds and allied complaints and internal disorders.
