Custom and Tradition in the Black Country
Description
A study comprising introductory sections on the industrial history of the Black Country, its steel, coal mining, nail making and chain making industries and associated communities. Further sections describe the Black Country home, religion in the area, leisure time activities, stories about local communities and individuals. The collector gathered much of the information contained in these sections from interviews with eight people living in the Black Country.
