Corn Dollies
Description
A dissertation examining the craft of making corn dollies, and the folklore associated with them. Its sections provide information on regional names for corn dollies, the varieties of wheat used, songs, rhymes and customs associated with corn dollies, plaiting techniques, instructions on the construction of a number of different types and styles. Line drawings illustrate the plaits and techniques described, and photographs show examples of completed corn dollies.
