Assembled company singing carols in the Black Bull pub, Ecclesfield, on the 25 December 1974. [Tr. 3]. Conclusion of session which starts on tape LAVC/SRE/A207r. Grenoside Sword Dancers, performing their annual Boxing Day dance, in Grenoside, Sheffield. Includes a calling-on song and the dance (sound of dancers' clogs, clash of swords, audience applause, fiddle accompaniment, traffic noise). Some distortion due to wind noise picked up by the microphone. Recorded 26 December 1974. [Tr. 1] Assembled company and soloists singing carols in the Cross pub, Bradfield , accompanied on the piano by John Danson. Margaret Yeardley sings 'Stannington', and Steve Brierly sings 'Christmas Tree'. Recorded 26 December 1974[Tr. 2]. Concludes on tape LAVC/SRE/A209r.
