Sings 'My Old 'at That I Got On', learned from a song sheet, and 'Needle Cases'[ fragment]; recites a Christmas mummers' play - speaks all the parts and describes the action - performed as a fifteen year old in ?, c. 1904; describes the costumes worn by the characters King George, Bold Slasher, Molly Tinker and the Doctor; sings 'I'll put on my hat and feather' [fragment] and 'Green Brooms' [fragment]; talks about his uncle in America; and rabbiting with ferrets; sings 'Old King Cole'. [Tr. 1] Bill Whiting, recorded at home in Longcot; sings 'A Girl that Men Forgot', recites the words and sings a fragment of 'The Outlandish Knight'; discusses the song parody 'Bonny Banks of Longcot' [parody of 'The Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond']; sings 'Some of the Ghosts were Short' [fragment], 'Fifty Two Cards in the Pack' [fragment], 'I'm a chap that's done wrong to my parents' [fragment], 'Broken-Hearted Gentleman' , 'Green Grows the Laurel'.
