Description
Harry Reed, recorded in Withypool, gives an account of the Lynmouth floods of August 1952, and in particular their effect on Withypool and the surrounding area. Describes the floodwater, the possible cause and the breaching of hedges. This is a copy tape of Stanley Ellis' original field recordings for the Survey of English Dialects. Date when copy made not known.
