Child and adult groups, recorded in Leeds. First session Children's Group: 5 schoolchildren relate their versions of the same (humorous, supernatural) narratives. Second session Children's Group: same 5 schoolchildren relate their versions of a further humorous narrative, and repeat the narratives from the first session. [?Recorded in a school.] Seven adults relate their versions of the narratives related by the children in the first recording session. The narratives are a shaggy-dog story, a children's joke, a contemporary legend concerning the building of the Rotunda in Birmingham, a local supernatural black dog legend from Whitby, and a ghost story. 1 of 2.
