Prayers; reference to the Mothering Sunday Revival movement, organised by Constance Penswick-Smith[pseudonym: real name Constance Adelaide Smith]; hymn singing; clipping the church (procession around the outside - collector sings); conversation outside the church with Mrs. Beat regarding Constance Penswick Smith and the revival movement; discussion of the church clipping custom, and Mothering Sunday before the Second World War (ref. to the making of Simnel cake, and the giving of cards and flowers).
