Description
Interviews with various people regarding the Cottingley Fairies [possibly a copy of the soundtrack from the television programme 'Nationwide', broadcast on 25 November 1976]; the presenter [ Martin Young] gives background information, including details of the Wright family, Elsie (daughter) and her cousin Frances, the involvement of Edward L. Gardner and Arthur Conan Doyle in authenticating the photographs of the fairies; male informant relates recollections of Elsie Wright; female informant talks about Edward Gardner; interview with Elsie Wright, in the glen where the photographs were taken (she explains the chain of events leading to the taking of the photographs); interview with cousin Frances re. fairy belief; interview at Kodak laboratories re. the original plates and the camera used, the composition of the photographs; Elsie Wright talks about her father's involvement.
