Irish dance music and song recordings, featuring fiddle and uillean pipe playing. Compilation of the collector's field recordings, made in Miltown Malbay (County Clare). The fiddle and pipe playing are public performances, with audience applause following each tune. [Tr. 1] Unaccompanied singing, possibly recorded at the same occasion as the instrumental recordings on Track One. Tom Lenihan sings 'Paddy's Panacea', 'St. James' Hospital'], [first line: 'Why don't you love the...']; Martin Reidysings 'Road to Dungarvin' , [first line: 'Farewell our gallant...'], 'Father Tom O'Neill'; Martin Longsings 'That Cold Man by Night', 'Old Grey Mare', 'We Won't Give Up the Old Land'; Mick Flynn sings 'Sean South', 'Lambs on the Green Hill' and [unidentified]; Straighty Flanagan sings 'Highwayman Michael Powers' [incomplete - tape ends].
