Female informant [possibly conclusion of interview with Mrs. Brown from the end of tape LAVC/SRE/A234r] talks about a grey dog ghost at The Grange; and the Churchills' house. Mr. J. Hodges of Blandford Forum (Dorset), recorded by M. Reid of Blandford School in October 1969. Relates stories of Sir William Portland; deer keepers and poachers and the burying of a severed hand; tunnels between local chapel and houses; Squire Eldrick buried in a wall of Wimborne Minster; dog hauntings and the medieval practice of killing a dog on completion of a bridge; ghosts and buried treasure; sound of coach and horses; Corfe Castle; ghost of Catharine Parr or Anne Boleyn walking the Queen's Walk at a manor house owned by Henry VIII. 5 of 5.
