Bill Needham in conversation regarding the song 'Oughtibridge Trail Hunt' - explains the route of the hunt on which the song is based, and sings the song [wife present, with occasional comments]; reference to the song 'Gossip John', and local pubs where singers perform. Recorded in the informant's home in Oughtibridge, near Sheffield, on 29 September 1971. [Tr. 6] George Brookes recorded in his home in Worrall, near Sheffield, on 6 October 1971. Sings songs and in between discusses his learning them, singing in Worrall (Christmas carols, with reference also to singing in nearby Stannington and Oughtibridge); (comic) songs, Christmas/New Year carolling in his childhood.
