Description
[Side 1] Charlie compares harvesting now and in past, tells series of anecdotes about poaching incl. using catapult to kill/stun hare, fox and backbird, talks about threshing by hand, describes horse-drawn threshing machine used in past. [Side 2] Charlie reflects on changes in farming locally, tells anecdote about call-up for World War 1 and doctor's examination, mentions father died shortly after his birth so brought up by uncle, comments still helps occasionally on nephew's farm e.g. trimming hedges.
