Description
[Side 1] Jim lists various jobs he has done for local cricket club incl. umpiring, making nets, rolling square, working in bar, talks about salmon fishing locally in past, comments river now too full of sand and gravel. [Side 2] Henry talks about local fishing boats from set of photographs, describes different types of boats incl. 'nobby' [= single-masted sailing boat used for fishing in Irish Sea'] and 'jigger' [= small fishing smack], reflects on impact of mechanised boats, lists typical fish caught locally in past, comments briefly on decline in fish stocks. Note: Recording date 1957-08 noted by ear, 1957-11-12 written on lacquer disc label.
