[Side 1] Mrs. Newman compares stretcher-bearers carrying coffin to churchyard in past and use of hearse now, lists village activities incl. Women's Institute, comments on deline of Mother's Union, mentions football club and youth club. [Side 2] Mrs. Newman recalls witnessing chimney sweep climb own chimney in past, describes apparatus used to cook over open fire, recalls mother cooking stew, mentions courtship at blacksmith's shop, talks about milking cows and helping with foaling and calving during and immediately after war.
