[Side 1] Bill recalls keeping badger in past and local farmers bringing dogs to train against it, describes occasion when he saw 14 dogs try in vain to defeat badger, explains how to bait badger successfully, tells anecdote about selling horse and reluctantly including terrier in deal to secure asking price, describes own prowess at breaking in horses and recalls local doctor once asking him to break in difficult horse after others had failed, tells anecdote about local non-smoker/teetotaller's instructions for Quaker funeral. [Side 2] Bill recalls occasion when he was persuaded by travelling insurance agent to insure cow, describes how cow subsequently fell seriously ill and vet recommended it be destroyed, recalls meeting insurance agent in Chepstow to collect compensation and offering him pound back by way of thanks.
