Description
[Side 1] Frank talks about ploughing with horses from starting with 'gaw' [= small channel/trench for drawing off water] and finishing with 'headland' [= strip of unploughed land at end of field ploughed at right angles last], stresses importance of ploughing straight, explains method of creating ridge every 22 yards. [Side 2] Frank discusses leisure pursuits in past incl. football and cricket, recalls cricket match against local rivals Chelveston, memories of poaching with ferrets as schoolboy, recalls cycling home through snow after work one evening, brief discussion of village school. Note: Recording date 1962-04 noted on LAVC documentation, 1963-02-20 written on lacquer disc label.
