Description
[Side 1] Boss and Tom talk about being recorded for the Survey, discuss previous night's visit by fieldworker. [Side 2] Boss and Tom share memories of quarrying and work in copper mine, anecdotes about local charcater (Ely), Boss recalls occasion when he thought he might lose job after missing work to watch local hunt, Tom cites local phrase predicting wet weather: 'when thou sees it goes up in sops [= cloud of mist] it comes down in drops', brief conversation about Donald Campbell's second attempt at breaking speed record on Ullswater, recall boat breaking in two.
