[Side 1] Sam tells series of anecdotes incl. his efforts to trace descendants of local man sent to Botany Bay, describes trip by locals to Belle Vue (former zoo). [Side 2] Sam tells series of anecdote incl. local woman who only knew husband by nickname, local man who frequently knelt to pray in street, workhouse inmate shifting stones from A to B and back again, local blind pianist, briefly mentions donkey/pony races held locally in past. (NB. Sam frequently uses archaic dialect forms incl. e.g. 'aks' [= ask] and 'hoo' [= she]).
