Description
[Side 1] Dick and Jinnie recall early married life and houses in village they have lived in, Jinnie comments got married with only shilling to their name and still has receipt for first furniture. [Side 2] Dick discusses successive land reclamation schemes, talks about completion of most recent reclamation of c. 2000 acres for farm land, recalls German WW1 POWs completing one dyke, comments bulldozers now replaced 'navvies' [= manual construction worker], talks briefly about receding tides. Note: Recording date 1952-01-08 noted by ear, 1952-01-15 written on lacquer disc label.
