Description
[Side 1] Sym talks about buying and selling horses, recalls two foals worth hundred guineas each, recalls buying mare and agreeing additional pound if it produced a decent foal, tells anecdote about subsequently seeing seller in pub in Stafford and winning round of drinks from friends by betting them he could get attention of seller without speaking to him. [Side 2] Sym describes getting up early to decorate horses with brasses and taking waggon to collect coal, recalls trip to Crewe to buy foal, talks about taking over first farm and hard work required to get established.
