[Side 1] Sidney describes first jobs on farm aged 7 years old incl. working in bakehouse until accident with revolver injured hand, talks about sheep farming incl. feeding and use of fold, mentions occasional mishap when buying flock of 'hoggets' [= female sheep for fattening] that unintentionally included 'tup' [= ram, male sheep], discusses lambing and fattening for sale, compares harvesting before and after introduction of combine harvester. [Side 2] David talks about annual 'hawkey' [= harvest supper], describes typical meal at Fox Inn and recalls singing and dancing in evening, explains tradition of distributing largesse which was usually spent on beer, recalls taking corn to old mill for grinding, mentions storm of 1879 blew sails off mill and caused severe flooding locally incl. need to evacuate people to Fox Inn, memories of Garboldisham village fairs in past.
