[Side 1] Isaac reminsices about farming days in past, remembers occasion when twin chicks hatched from single egg, recalls time when he and his wife were threatened by swarm of wasps while building stack, describes wife being stung after disturbing wasps' nest 'hinging like a bleb' [= hanging like a blister] from larch tree in field near Cockermouth. [Side 2] Isaac recalls regular trips with sister and 'cuddy' [= donkey] to shop for supplies of flour, lard and yeast, describes cuddy eating 'tater' [= potato] peelings from bucket when back 'hame' [= home], recalls trips with younger brother to collect tripe from uncle to send to butcher's stall and remembers injuring leg falling off cuddy.
