Description
[Side 1] Mrs. Earnshaw recalls cleaning fire-grate, emptying ash-hole and black-leading grate in past, brief conversation about health and eyesight. [Side 2] Mrs. Earnshaw describes starting work 'piecening' [= rejoining broken threads in spinning mill] aged ten, worked as half-timer till left school aged thirteen, talks briefly about father's long day as mason, describes family, compares cost of living now and in past.
