Timber Barn: Detail

Description

Close-up detail of a timber junction on a timber barn in Varmland (Sweden). This junction is at one of the corners of the end of the building containing a cowshed, and is thought to be Norwegian influenced. The placename of the village at which the barn is located is recorded in the Slide Index as Sucka, but this location cannot be found in Swedish gazetteers. Originally held in green slide cabinet, reference A99.
