Gol Stave Church

Description

Wooden stave church from Gol, at the Norsk Folkemuseum (Norwegian Folk Museum) in Bygdøy, Oslo. The name Stave refers to the wooden posts, or staves, that support the roof. The interior is medieval, dating to ca. 1200. Originally held in green slide cabinet, reference A50.
