Rope Bolls for Canal Boats
Description
Rope bolls of various shapes and sizes for use on canal boats, at the Stoke Bruerne Canal Museum (formerly the Waterways Museum) on the Grand Union Canal at Stoke Bruerne (Northamptonshire). The bolls in the front are made of hemp rope, filled with loosely packed old ropes. Those on top are more solid. Originally held in green slide cabinet, reference B104.
