SED Phonological Map: H Pronunciation
Description
Experimental printed phonological map, completed in ms., of the Northern Counties, mapping the limits of the pronunciation and non-pronunciation of (h-) in Hair (SED question VI.2.1-2), Hammer (SED question I.7.13) and Head (SED question VI.1.1). Another version of this map, held at S181, indicates that it was compiled by Harold Orton and David North in 1963.
