Description

Experimental printed word map listing responses to SED question II.5.3, (Barley)-Awns. The map is labelled Linguistic Atlas of England, and as a draft map. It was created by Harold Orton, and is dated 14 January 1960 in ms. (The awn is the bristly growth that terminates the grain sheath of barley, oats, and other grasses).
