Tapestry (Norway)

Description

Tapestry made up of two piece, patterned with geometric designs in stripes, in red, yellow, black, and white, from Nordland (Norway). The patterns and colours used are of the orthodox old Norwegian type. A note in the slide index states that the tapestry dates to around 1400. The tapestry is housed at the Norsk Folkemuseum in Oslo. Originally held in green slide cabinet, reference B9.
