Mud Ovens
Description
2 free-standing, domed mud plaster ovens in Philia (Cyprus). The ovens are heated with a wood fire which is raked out before the item to be baked is inserted. The ovens are owned by the local church, and rented out to the whole village for use. Originally held in green slide cabinet, reference B146.
