Tapestry (Norway)

Description

Tapestry from the Hardangar (?) (Norway). The tapestry is in two pieces and made with wool, and clearly shows the staggered method of joining two colours and creating a step-effect in the pattern. A note in the Slide Index states that it dates to around 1450. The tapestry is housed at the Norsk Folkemuseum in Oslo. Originally held in green slide cabinet, reference B7.
