A. F. Roulé trade card

Description

Highly pictorial 19th century chromolithographed trade card of A. F. Roulé with elaborate carved frame and images of wood furniture at top and bottom of card. A second frame within the first of decorative Gothic woodwork encompasses trader details in a variety of typefaces with decorative flourishes. Enamelled card or carte porcelaine with two tone coloured inks in blues and oranges. 'Timbre d'avis Brabant' stamp and remains of previous green paper mount and glue present on reverse.
