Walter Howes trade card
Description
Pictorial 19th century engraved trade card of Walter Howes with Royal Coat of Arms of the United Kingdom and motto 'Dieu et mon droit' flanked by a railway lamp at either side. Trader details in a variety of typefaces with decorative flourishes. Remains of previous brown paper mount and glue present on reverse. Transcription: WALTER HOWES, PATENTEE & MANUFACTURER OF THE Improved Carriage & Railway Lamps. No 231 Sherlock Street, BIRMINGHAM.
