Description
Highly pictorial 19th century chromolithographed trade card of J. Devriendt-Ghert depicting putto surrounded by plants and foliage inscribing trader details on stone, with palette in foreground. Trader details in a variety of typefaces with decorative flourishes. Enamelled card or carte porcelaine with multi tone coloured images in yellow, blue and purple. Remains of previous blue paper mount and glue present on reverse. French transcription: J. DEVRIENDT-GHERT PEINTRE ET DECORATEUR Rue des Femmes St Pierre No 36 GAND.
