Description
Highly pictorial 19th century chromolithographed trade card of E. Lefevere Fils with large image of various travel items such as saddles, purses, trunks and boxes filling card. Two coaches depicted at top left and right of card. Trader details in a variety of typefaces with decorative flourishes. Enamelled card or carte porcelaine with two tone coloured inks in reds, browns and golds. Remains of previous blue paper mount and glue present on reverse. French transcription: AU COUSIN D'OR. Rue St Amand ENE. LEFEVERE. FILS. Sellier & Carrossier. Fait tout ce qui concerne son Etât au plus juste prix. BRUGES. Daveluy, Lith du Roi, Bruges. English translation: AT THE GOLDEN SPHERE.
