Description
Highly pictorial 19th century chromolithographed trade card of J. Stubbe with images of various travel items such as coaches, saddles, purses, trunks and boxes. Trader details in a variety of typefaces with decorative flourishes. Enamelled card or carte porcelaine with two tone coloured inks in reds, browns and golds. Remains of previous blue paper mount and glue present on reverse. French transcription: Place de la Bourse No 30. J. STUBBE. Sellier & Carrossier. Fait au dernier goût. Tout ce qui concerne son étàt. BRUGES. Daveluy, Lith du Roi, Bruges. English translation: No. 30, Place de la Bourse. J. STUBBE. Saddler & Coach-builder. Everything related to the trade made in the latest taste. BRUGES.
