Highly pictorial 19th century colourful chromolithographed trade card of J. Van Lippelo. Trader details in a variety of typefaces surrounded by leafwork and ornate gold scroll decoration, with depictions of chairs and table. Image of sofa at top of card. Enamelled card or carte porcelaine. French transcription: MAGASIN DE MEUBLES J. VAN LIPPELO Ébéniste a l'honneur d'informer le puplic [public] qu'il a transferé son magasin ainsi que sa fabrique du marché aux Grains à la rue de notre Dame SON C.NO 40 MALINES. J'espére par ses Nouveautes et la modicite de ses prix de mériter la confiance dont on a bien voulu lui honorer jusqu'a ce jour. Daveluy, Lith du Roi, Bruges. English translation: FURNITURE SHOP J. VAN LIPPELO Ébéniste [Cabinetmaker] has the honor to inform the public that he has transferred his store and his factory from the Grains market to No 40, rue de notre Dame, MECHELEN.
