Emile Devigne trade card

Description

Highly pictorial 19th century chromolithographed trade card of Emile Devigne, depicting range of decorative metalwork items, many with filigree details (clockwise from left) garden bench, companion set stands, boot scraper, hooked stands, garden chair and table and ink stands. Row of sprockets and simple leafwork surround trader details as embellishments. Enamelled card or carte porcelaine with two tone coloured inks in blues and purples. Remains of previous blue paper mount and glue present on reverse. French transcription: EMILE DEVIGNE Gand. FONDERIE DE FER EN TOUT GENRE. Rue terre neuve No 54 (Niewland.)
