Description
The epistle of Manardi (no. 3 in book 5 of his Epistolae medicinales) and the "Breve consiglio" of Rainaldi ("fatto a di ultimo di agosto nel 1456") were translated from the Latin by Niccolò Lorenzini, whose preface (p. 97-98) is dated Florence, 29 October 1576. The tracts by Ficino and Tommaso del Garbo, and the other "ricette" were published in Florence in 1523 by the heirs of F. Giunta as a volume of pest tracts under title: Contro alla peste. Earlier editions also published with title: Il consiglio di m. Marsilio Ficino contro la pestilentia. NLM 16th cent 1535.
