Clements trade card
Description
Elaborate 18th century engraved trade card of Clements [W. George Clements]. Floral wreaths and feathers of Duke of Wales with motto 'Ich Dien' at top of card. Trader details in a variety of typefaces with decorative flourishes inside carved frame in centre of card, with dressing table mirror at bottom of card. Transcription: CLEMENTS, CARVER, GILDER, GLASS and Picture Frame Maker. No 15, Bartholomew Close, London. Prints, Drawings & Needlework, neatly Fram'd & Glaz'd. Old work new Gilt, & Glafses [Glasses] new Silver'd. NB. WRITING & GILDING on Glafs [Glass] in real GOLD ENAMEL. Country Orders Punctually Executed.
