Highly pictorial 19th century engraved trade card of Thomas Barton. Large image of shop in centre of card, with sign for Edward Nye on wall and figures and man on horse in foreground. Trader details in a variety of typefaces with decorative flourishes. Transcription: ESTABLISHED 1720. THOMAS BARTON, SUCCESSOR TO EDMUND NYE, Inlaid and Mosaic Wood Manufacturer, TO HER MAJESTY & THE ROYAL FAMILY, MOUNT EPHRAIM, AND PARADE, TUNBRIDGE WELLS.
