Simple 19th century engraved trade card of C. Cowles. Trader details in a variety of typefaces with decorative flourishes. Diamond shaped crests to left and right of text. Manuscript ink note of customer name dated 4 Nov 1859 on front of card, with explanatory note on reverse regarding a delivery of goods, signed by C. Cowles. Transcription: C. COWLES, Cabinet Maker, Upholsterer & Paper Hanger, 22, Gt. [Great] Marylebone St [Street] PORTLAND PLACE. Funerals Performed. FURNITURE REPAIRED & REPOLISHED. LADIES NEEDLE WORK MOUNTED.
