Description
Pictorial 19th century engraved trade card of J. Sheppard [John Sheppard] depicting curtained window, chaise longue, four poster bed with drapes, cabinet, desk and chair. Trader details in a variety of typefaces with decorative flourishes. 'I' thought to be used interchangeably. Remains of previous blue paper mount and glue present on reverse. Transcription: I. [J] SHEPPARD'S UPHOLSTERY & CABINET Warehouse, HIGH STREET TAUNTON.
