Estate Cottages
Description
Copy of a photograph dating from the early 20th century (pre-World War One), of estate cottages at Thixendale (North Yorkshire). The cottages are tied, and were built by the Sykes family of Sledmere, the largest land owners in the East Riding. (Although Thixendale is now now situated in North Yorkshire, it lies close to the Yorkshire Wolds in the East Riding.) Mounted on Photo File card with LAVC/PHO/P1700. With ms. note.
