Description
Copy of a photograph dating from the turn of the 19th/20th century, of a brass band (from Thixendale (North Yorkshire)). The band members are dressed in uniform, and include young boys and adult men. Many villages had their own brass band. Mounted on Photo File card with LAVC/PHO/P1697. With ms. note. Originally held in Photo File: Community Life.
